Oy! Can Water Pokémon live outside? If I came across a fish, let's say, would I need to carry around a tank?

(She thinks a floating fish that swims through the air would be fun.)

Cozy, my Zigzagoon, wouldn't eat it, would he? Every time I mention an aquatic addition, he licks his lips.

(Private to Lightning.)

You thinkin' about stretching your legs, Sunhine? We could go hunting for new Pokémon together, you know. Dia and Cozy need some company.

(Unlike a certain hero, Fang isn't picky about who joins her group...er...duo.)

You know, I still don't know the answer to that question.

When my brother and I caught shark pokemon, we simply bought a house with a pool. It seemed easiest.

The only traveling I do is between my family home and private home. And most of my Pokemon reside at the former.

Most travel with all manner of types, though.

It's not for everyone. I never had a home of my own before, I enjoy it. I've done more than enough traveling, and I can take a trip whenever I'd like.

All we are is the product of our experiences, really.

They can live outside, though they prefer water. As for your Zigazoon eating it... he might try. If he's doing that you might want to keep an eye on him.

Mine is pretty feisty, though it's easy enough to keep him fed as long as he gets some meat.

Purrloins are cats. Of course they do what they want when they want.

Guess not. Pokemon in general seem to be able to communicate what they need better than most animals, though.

Unless is has legs it can't do that. I have to keep my Carvanha in a ball because of that. I only let him out when we're near rivers, lakes, or other bodies of water.

He's too big for the bathtub. There's a small lake over by the gym where I can take him out.

I don't think they gotta, but I try to let mine stay in the water as much as I can. Yaknow, just cause I figure they're more comfortable that way.

And I'd hope your Zigzagoon wouldn't try to eat a Pokemon you just caught!

It is not always necessary, but they prefer such a habitat.

And I have yet to observe such an omen coming to pass.

[In other words it...probably won't eat it? Maybe?]

That depends entirely on the Pokemon. A Magikarp, for instance, likely wouldn't do much but flop around on dry land, but something like a Squirtle or an Empoleon would be able to manage much better.

As for the problem of your Zigzagoon, I'd suggest just finding one that's bigger than he is.

Everyone else seems to have given you answers, so I'll just mention this: pokeballs seem to do well enough for tanks somehow. At least, I've never seen any of mine complain, so long as they're not stuck in there forever.
islandshore: (determined)

Some of the water types I've seen just... float when they're out of the water.

I've learned not to question it so much. Not like this place has made much sense before.

As for eating... depends on the Pokémon. Some do eat each other, but if there's a size gap, you can probably dodge that bullet.
