Hmm, well, if you're in need of a talking companion, I highly recommend a Psychic type. They've a certain knack for telepathy, and it certainly makes communicating with other Pokémon a simpler task.

That's your Starter. Most people bond very closely with their starting Pokemon. Sometimes they'll just start falling from the sky, or blowing on the winds. They really are everywhere.

I don't have much of a type preference, but again, I don't battle. My Pokemon help me at the circus or with things around the house.

It takes some getting used to, but it's not all bad.
